Recently me and my 19 year old son were forced to become homeless. We were staying with a friend and one morning i found my friend in his bedroom floor, he had aspirated/choked on something and i revived him but was a little late getting there and he was put on life support for a short time after. When he came off life support he asked that me and my son remain at his home that the hospital was releasing him to come home of i agreed to hospice care for him at home. I agreed. He passed away a couple weeks later sadly. Me and my son came home one afternoon days after to find the doors were locked, the locks were changed and hand written letters were on the doors saying no trespassing, keep out, etc. I call law enforcement and they verified i lived there through 911 documentation from my friend falling when he was home during hospice care and when i found him that morning when he had choked and gave permission for me n my son to proceed into the home. The next day several officers came to the house with my friends brother with the brother saying we have never lived there knowing we have and this man goes to the same church i had just been babtized at and was car pooling with the brother to n from church on sundays. Even tho i had verified with the previous officer that we did reside there through gordon county 911, had debit card statements in my name with that address and personal messages from my friend asking me to come there and all officer Holcomb told me my proof ment nothing that me and my son had to leave or i was going to jail. All of our things was inside the home and we were made to leave without anything and told to not contact David Massingill/the brother or come back to the home or we’d go to jail. I asked them for resources or anything they new of to help us cause we have no family or friends to ask for help and they said they couldnt help us. I made a report on officer Holcomb the following day through the sheriff’s dept and they dispatched me to 911 so my vomplaint could be documented but haven’t gotten an update. Since then my son sleeps at his uncles on his dads side of the family but is just a small room for a washer n dryer. I have nowhere to go and have been staying in an abandoned car on blocks and neither of us have any resources for food, shelter, clothing, nothing. I found you guys online and im praying you can help us please. Ive filled out for foodstamps but can never hear back from anyone, i dont have a stable anything for them to contact me if needed is probably why.
